Is It Enough..?

(Yay, story time. <: )
"Acquilina, this ain't comfortable at all..?"
"Da, da! Now stop complaining and let big woman straighten out dress!"
It was beautiful. Being one of Acquilina's best picks in a dress so far, it wasn't enough to just be proud of it: Acquilina gladly boast to herself about her perfect pick. A team work shirt and shorts wasn't enough for a date, not in Acquilina's eyes. Despite her slight discomfort, Savannah was glowing. The simple yet beautiful crimson and black laced dress hugged her body perfectly, and though it dragged the ground, it made for a perfect ten clean-up of her usual get up. Acquilina could only chuckle as she gazed upon her gorgeous pick, and her beautiful friend.
"See? You are beautiful woman!" Acquilina put a hand on her friend's shoulder. "Now if dat doesn't catch his eye, I don't know what will!"
Savannah was quiet. She seemed upset, much more so than usual. Something inside was bothering her, and as she looked in the mirror, she only muttered, "Is it enough, though, darlin'..?"
"Enough?" Acquilina was dumbfounded. "Enough!! Hohoho, leetle Engineer is not too confident in self."
Savannah sighed a little. No, she really wasn't. It had been a very long time since they had spent any time together, especially going out on a date. What would he say? Would it be too much, or not enough? Nothing mitigated these thoughts in her as they swirled around in her head. The only thing she could do was breathe.. but then she began to sing. Not too loud, and barely audible, she spoke with a tune, "Hoping you might notice me, as ya look the other way... Ah'm afraid to see.. what could be.. in the line of yer gaze..." and she didn't finish. Acquilina could see her worry now, and could only hug her in response.
"You are perfect," Acquilina whispered to her. "There is no one - NO ONE - who can replace you, especially in leetle man's life. Now you go out dere and be the beautiful woman you are."
Savannah's light frown dimmed into a small smirk. Her confidence was still so low.. but the love in her heart for him wouldn't let her stop for the world.
